The performances of the American cyclist Lance Armstrong are certainly  unique. He won seven times the Tour the France and his personal battle against cancer. That privilege is not granted to many other patients. Therefore  Armstrong decided  to raise money for cancer research, focusing on greater chance of cure. In 1997  he founded the Ride for the Roses  in Austin, Texas .

The success of the Ride for the Roses is the unique formula. Being engaged in a sporty, healthy and fun way along with thousands of others while doing something against cancer.Your way of fighting cancer,  in memory of someone who is deceased cancer,  as support for someone who fights against cancer or just because you’re committed.

Red Rose
The Ride for the Roses is not a cycling event for cash prizes, but a bike ride with a red rose for each participant to finish. A rose that symbolizes other values in life than money, compassion example
